Introducing Rokstone Klik: Building the Future of Digital Economy Underwriting

Across the United States, digital platforms, advanced mobility operators and sharing economy businesses are reshaping how people move, work and transact. Liability, naturally, is evolving with them.

Autonomous vehicles, electric fleets and insurance embedded into digital platforms are just a few of the fast-moving, complex exposures that do not always fit into traditional underwriting frameworks.

At Rokstone, we see that as an opportunity. That is why we have launched Rokstone Klik, a new division dedicated to underwriting liability risks arising from the digital economy and next-generation mobility. Alongside the launch, we are also welcoming two senior casualty specialists who bring extensive experience across both technology and insurance.

Bringing In Specialist Leadership

Leading the new division is Andrew Cooper, who joins as Head of Rokstone Klik. Andrew brings more than 25 years of insurance experience to the team, including 17 years in US Casualty and eight years focused specifically on the sharing economy, digital platforms and future mobility sectors.

He joins us from Pantheon, where he served as Managing Director - Innovation and Technology, and previously spent 23 years at Aon in senior leadership and broking roles.

Working alongside Andrew will be Matt Higgins, who will join as Senior Underwriter from Apollo’s iBott platform, following completion of his notice period.

Together, they will shape the underwriting strategy and portfolio build-out for Rokstone Klik as it begins writing business in the US, with international expansion planned over time.

Our Response To A Changing Market

The sharing economy and digital mobility sector has quickly become one of the fast-growing premium pools in US Casualty. But it is also one of the most challenging. Regulatory uncertainty, limited historical modelling data and the ongoing effects of social inflation have led some markets to pull back. Capacity has narrowed, even as the sector continues to grow.

Rokstone Klik will focus on underwriting complex risks that sit within modern digital ecosystems, including:

  • Embedded insurance programmes integrated into digital platforms

  • Usage-based and telematics-enabled auto liability solutions

  • Structured casualty facilities for mobility operators and sharing economy businesses

  • Platform liability and multi-party risk frameworks

  • Customised policy wordings spanning:

  • Auto liability

  • General liability

  • Umbrella and hybrid structures

Supporting this approach is our proprietary ATOMX technology ecosystem, which allows our underwriters to work with deeper data insights from the outset. By converting unstructured loss information into actionable intelligence, ATOMX enables more accurate modelling, pricing and forecasting capabilities from day one.

Backed By Long-Term Capacity

Rokstone Klik launches with two dedicated underwriting facilities backed by Lloyd’s of London and an A rated company market carrier, providing stable, diversified long-term capacity.

This structure gives the division the flexibility to lead where a risk requires strong underwriting conviction, while also working with other markets where partnerships deliver the best outcomes for brokers and clients. Larry Burrows, Head of North American Casualty, believes that flexibility is key to our US Casualty strategy.

He said, “Digital platforms and advanced mobility are redefining how liability is created, allocated and defended. These are not traditional commercial auto risks; they are embedded, multi-party exposures shaped by data and technology.”

Rokstone Klik represents the next step in the continued expansion of our US casualty platform and our broader international specialty strategy. By combining specialist underwriting talent, advanced data capabilities and stable long-term capacity, we are creating a platform designed to understand some of the most complex liability exposures emerging in today’s digital economy.
