Post & Co Receives Regulatory Approval to Begin Writing as Part of Rokstone

Following the acquisition announcement earlier this year, specialist Marine MGA Post & Co has now received regulatory approval to begin writing business as part of Rokstone, bringing more than 100 years of marine underwriting heritage into Rokstone’s growing global platform.

The milestone strengthens Rokstone’s presence across Continental Europe and adds further depth to an already established Marine proposition spanning the UK, North America and Asia.

Building A Global Marine Proposition

Post & Co is one of Continental Europe’s most established marine underwriting businesses. Headquartered in Rotterdam, with further offices in Groningen, Antwerp and Frankfurt, the business brings together deep technical expertise and long-standing relationships across the European marine market. Its specialist portfolio includes:

  • P&I

  • Charterers and shipowners’ liability

  • War risk

  • Cargo

  • Logistics

Backed by Lloyd’s and specialist company market capacity, the Post & Co team brings significant underwriting expertise, alongside a strong understanding of the clients and brokers it serves. Now operating as part of Rokstone, that expertise will become an important part of the continued development of our global Marine platform.

Expertise With Greater Reach

Marine is one of Rokstone’s largest and most strategically important business lines, and the addition of Post & Co represents another step in our ambition to build a truly global specialist Marine proposition.

With established operations across multiple international markets, Rokstone is continuing to bring together specialist teams, technical expertise and technology to create solutions that reflect the realities of an increasingly complex marine environment. For brokers and their clients, the combination means access to broader expertise and capabilities, supported by the scale and infrastructure of a global MGA.

James Potter, Chairman at Rokstone, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Post & Co has now received regulatory approval to begin writing business as part of Rokstone. Led by Roderick Post, the Post & Co team will play a key role in shaping our marine proposition across continental Europe and supporting the continued growth of our global marine operations.”

For Post & Co, becoming part of Rokstone creates a platform to build on its heritage while exploring new opportunities for growth. Roderick Post, CEO at Post & Co, said: “We’re excited to accelerate our ambitions and play our part in the development and expansion of Rokstone’s global marine proposition. We’ll build on our core strengths and heritage, as well as seek strategic opportunities to expand into complementary areas and deepen relationships.”

And the next phase is already underway. With Post & Co now approved to begin writing as part of Rokstone, our Continental European Marine capability is positioned to grow, bringing together heritage, specialist expertise and the scale of a global platform.
