Rokstone bolsters digital underwriting team

The Insurance sector has a reputation for being behind the curve when it comes to embracing digital innovation.
At Rokstone we achieve success by refusing to follow the same old ways of working, and discovering better ways of helping our partners and ourselves to thrive.
That’s why we are at the forefront of embracing digital innovation, because this is the path to quicker and simpler trading, and overall more successful outcomes.
Any business can say this, but in the past few years we have taken the actions that prove we mean what we say.
We have created our own bespoke digital platforms to give our brokers a quick and easy route to quotes for less complex policies, most notably through our iSure business, partnering with various third-party tech firms to help us service our brokers and clients more efficiently.
Today we take another big step in our commitment to digital innovation by welcoming Gavin Dollings and Joanne Lambe to the Rokstone family in newly created roles designed to take our dedicated digital underwriting team to the next level.
Gavin joins us from Covéa Insurance, where he had been Commercial Underwriting Director for five and a half years, to become our Chief Digital Underwriting Manager. Before Covéa, he spent over a decade at Allianz Insurance.
While Jo becomes our Digital Product Development Manager, joining after nine years at Simply Business where she worked as an underwriter and latterly as its Technical MGA Manger. Prior to that she spent 10 years with Aviva as a Commercial Underwriter and four years as an underwriter with Ecclesiastical.
Gavin and Jo add significant expertise to our already talented digital team, and will help us to become a market leader in the digital distribution of insurance products.
In her role, Jo will be responsible for the digital transformation of our existing products and lead the development of new native digital products.
Gavin will head up the Digital Underwriting function globally, and help to set our digital underwriting strategy as we continue on our journey to being the best, most innovative MGA in the world.
Both roles will help to take us to a position where we can make our brokers’ lives easier, allowing them generate as many instant quotes for their clients as possible through our digital platform.
This in turn frees up our brokers’ time to focus on other aspects of their business, such as providing a greater service to clients.
Everybody wins when the industry embraces digital underwriting, and we will be at the front of the charge, dragging the rest of the market along behind us.
