Rokstone Expands Global Reach with Launch of International Casualty Portfolio

Momentum in underwriting grows through consistent action, every placement and every new hire. That progress has brought us to our next milestone.

After launching UK and Ireland Casualty, North American Excess Casualty and Sports and Leisure Event Casualty over the past 16 months, Rokstone is proud to introduce our International Casualty Portfolio. Designed for complex international placements, it enhances our ability to support wholesale brokers in a market that is increasingly global and more technically demanding.

Built for International Risk

The International Casualty market demands conviction, authority and the ability to deploy meaningful capacity, consistently and responsibly, across borders and cycles.

Rokstone’s International Casualty Portfolio has been designed with that reality in mind. Backed by A rated Lloyd’s capacity, the portfolio offers significant line sizes of up to USD / EUR / AUD 10m, giving brokers confidence that their placements can be anchored by underwriting strength from day one.

Operating on a 100% wholesale distribution model, the portfolio is designed exclusively for wholesale brokers, with the ability to write:

  • Public Liability

  • Products Liability

  • Pollution Liability

  • Employers’ Liability

This scope enables Rokstone to address the complexities of international risks, where exposures often do not fit neatly within a single category or territory.

Led by Proven Market Expertise

At the centre of the new portfolio is Sam Wylie, who joins the Rokstone team as Portfolio Manager for International Casualty.

Sam arrives from Convex, where he spent five years as a Class Underwriter, and brings more than 15 years of specialist international casualty experience from senior roles at Tokio Marine Kiln and Marsh.

Based in the UK and highly regarded across the market, Sam has a proven track record of profitable growth and technical excellence - qualities essential in a sector where detail, judgement and consistency often define success.

Built for Complex Global Risk

The International Casualty Portfolio is designed to support risks across a range of core industries, including:

  • Construction

  • Transportation

  • Energy

  • Manufacturing

  • Power and Utilities

  • Mining

  • Recreation

  • Casualty Liabilities

These are sectors where exposures are layered and multinational - often changing rapidly, meaning underwriting decisions need to be informed, decisive and backed by real authority.

Looking to the Future

By combining experienced leadership, significant line size and a focused wholesale model, Rokstone is positioned as a casualty partner equipped to lead on international placements.

Commenting on the launch, Ian Anson, Global CEO of Rokstone, acknowledged that the international casualty sector is competitive, where only the strongest manage to thrive. Ian said, “Brokers value strength, underwriting discipline and stability through the cycle. Rokstone's blend of specialist talent, long-term capacity partnerships and proprietary technology gives us an edge that few can replicate.”

The launch of this new portfolio is part of a broader narrative of growth, focus and intention. With a rapidly expanding casualty platform, trusted underwriting talent and a clear global vision, Rokstone continues to build a business designed for evolving risks, for brokers who need certainty, scale and expertise.
