Healthcare organizations are changing, and so are the risks they face. Today’s healthcare market requires specialized underwriting expertise to address increasingly complex exposures, from behavioral health providers and outpatient facilities to healthcare staffing businesses and rehabilitation services.
To meet that demand, Rokstone is pleased to announce the launch of Rokstone Healthcare, a new specialist underwriting division focused on the healthcare market in the United States.
Launching alongside the division is its first specialist proposition, Allied Health and Human Services. The new platform combines deep healthcare underwriting expertise with a three-year commitment of A+ rated Lloyd’s capacity, with up to USD 10m capacity per risk, the platform is designed around the needs of wholesale brokers placing complex healthcare risks.
Building A Specialist Healthcare Proposition
Healthcare is one of the most technically demanding areas of specialty insurance. Organizations often need experienced underwriters who can take a pragmatic, flexible approach to each individual risk. Initially focused on U.S. domiciled risks and larger healthcare organizations, Rokstone Allied Health and Human Services offers broad, multi-line underwriting solutions spanning:
Professional Liability
General Liability
Sexual & Physical Abuse Liability
Errors & Omissions Liability
Employee Benefits Liability
Excess Auto Liability
Excess Employers Liability
The platform will initially support excess placements, giving brokers greater flexibility when structuring programs for clients with increasingly diverse exposures and larger tower requirements. Primary capabilities will follow later in the year. Target classes include, but are not limited to:
Primary Medical Care
Behavioral Health
Human Services
Medical Transport
Outpatient Facilities
Healthcare Staffing
Rehabilitation & Therapies
Wellness & Aesthetics
Laboratories
By combining specialist expertise with underwriting flexibility, Rokstone Allied Health and Human Services aims to provide brokers with a responsive partner capable of delivering solutions for risks that often fall outside standard market appetite.
Expertise to Lead the Platform
Joining Rokstone to lead the new proposition is Natalie Mauro, who brings almost two decades of healthcare underwriting experience across both the United States and London insurance markets.
Natalie joins from Beazley, where she spent ten years, most recently serving as Product Leader for Global Miscellaneous Medical. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for delivering and scaling specialist healthcare portfolios while supporting wholesale brokers across complex medical and human services risks.
At Rokstone, Natalie will spearhead the continued development of the U.S. Medical Malpractice platform as part of the wider global healthcare strategy, working closely with brokers to build a proposition centered on technical underwriting expertise, accessibility, and responsive decision-making.
Built Around Brokers
At its core, Rokstone Healthcare makes specialist healthcare risks easier to place. Brokers work directly with experienced healthcare underwriters who understand the sector and can respond quickly with practical, tailored underwriting solutions.
The combination of specialist market knowledge, A+ rated Lloyd’s capacity, and Rokstone’s technology-enabled underwriting model creates a proposition built for today’s healthcare market, where responsiveness and flexibility are increasingly valuable.
Commenting on the launch, Ian Anson, CEO of Rokstone, said, “The healthcare market presents a significant opportunity for disciplined, specialist underwriting. Natalie brings the expertise, market relationships, and execution capability we need to build a relevant and scalable platform.”
By investing in experienced underwriting talent and building platforms around technical expertise, technology, and long-term broker relationships, Rokstone continues to develop specialist propositions designed to solve real market challenges.
Ian continued, “Rokstone Healthcare is a natural extension of our specialty strategy, and we are committed to delivering responsive, solutions-driven capacity to our broker partners.”
With Natalie Nauro leading Allied Health and Human Services, Rokstone Healthcare begins with an experienced leader, a clear underwriting strategy, and a proposition built to support brokers placing increasingly complex healthcare risks.
