For Ludo, the journey into underwriting has been one filled with discovery, both personally and professionally. From training alongside some of the industry’s finest underwriters to exploring markets across the Middle East, South America and Australia, his career has taken him to corners of the world many can only dream of.
We sat down with Ludo ahead of him joining the team. Reflecting on his experiences, he appreciated having worked with people from so many different backgrounds. Beyond the Desk
What might surprise most people about Ludo is just how much he brings to the table - beyond his professional expertise. With a degree in Geology, Ludo has an unusual hobby. He climbs volcanoes. So far, he has conquered six around the world and does not plan to stop anytime soon. When he isn’t scaling summits, he enjoys unwinding outdoors and spending time with his young family.
He laughed as he shared a common misconception about his job - “Most people think I sell insurance for Lloyd’s bank!” But there is far more to Ludo than meets the eye, as his story offers a blend of curiosity, adventure and ambition.
