In construction, confidence comes from knowing you are covered - from the ground up. For developers and brokers in the wood-frame sector, Rokstone Construction Risk Underwriters has long been the go-to name for Builders’ Risk. Now, that expertise extends even further.
We are excited to introduce our new General Liability program, a significant expansion that enhances our status as a leading specialist in construction risk. In addition, we are proud to be one of the few markets offering both Builders’ Risk and General Liability coverage for large wood-frame projects.
A Natural Next Step
Since our inception in 2020, Rokstone CRU has focused on the developer space, building a strong reputation for disciplined underwriting, deep technical knowledge, and data-driven insight. The new USD 5 million Primary GL Wrap program complements CRU’s existing USD 125 million Builders’ Risk capacity, providing a seamless solution for clients looking to protect their projects from start to finish.
Backed by A rated capacity from Builders Specialty Insurance Company, the nationwide program reflects our commitment to sustainable growth, profitable underwriting, and delivering smarter solutions to complex risks.
“Our brokers and clients have been looking for a GL solution for many years,” said Mike Pilla, CEO of Rokstone CRU. “Now, Rokstone CRU will be one of the only markets capable of writing both the large wood-frame Builders’ Risk and General Liability for our developer clients.”
Expertise That Builds Trust
Leading the new GL proposition are the newly appointed John Wisotzkey, as Senior Vice President, and Andrew Yoo, as Assistant Vice President. Two proven leaders in the construction insurance market, John and Andrew, bring a combined three decades of experience to CRU’s Cherry Hill office in New Jersey.
John joins Rokstone from AXA XL, where he specialized in developing innovative GL solutions tailored to the construction risks market. Andrew, joining from Everest, brings over 20 years of experience, with a strong record in underwriting leadership and portfolio management. Together, they provide the market knowledge, strong relationships, and forward-thinking approach that define the Rokstone CRU model.
The Rokstone Edge in Construction Risk
Rokstone CRU's approach emphasizes alignment among developers, brokers, and carriers, supported by advanced analytics. This combination of discipline, agility, and data-driven insight gives brokers the confidence to move quickly and build smarter.
Now with offices in Alpharetta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, we continue to expand our national footprint across the United States, while remaining close to the brokers and markets we serve.
For developers and brokers in the fast-paced wood-frame sector, the launch of our GL program represents a new level of performance, offering a stronger product, a smarter solution, and a partner built to perform.
