Eric has over 21 years of experience underwriting livestock and equine business, including 10 years managing an underwriting team. Since 2013, Eric has built a book of livestock business from the ground up to nearly $30 million in annual GWP with Catlin, XL and finally AXA XL. Since late 2019 Eric managed the US based livestock and equine underwriting team for AXA XL. He has a strong agriculture industry knowledge and relationships with both brokers as well as clients.

Nicole brings 13 years of insurance experience with 11 years of focus in livestock and equine claims. Nicole has a background in the horse industry and studied at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She was the lead adjuster for livestock claims at AXA XL beginning in 2014 before being promoted to Livestock and Equine Claims Manager in 2019. Nicole’s focus is on a client-centered approach to improve the claims experience by developing and implementing service-oriented procedures.

Alexandra has 5 years of experience underwriting both livestock and equine business. She has been involved in the equine industry since a young age, growing up riding sporthorses and then working for a Thoroughbred farm and for Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Her college experience includes equine business management at Cazenovia College, and a Master of Business Administration at Clarkson University. Her focus turned to the livestock industry when she joined AXA XL in 2016, serving as a Livestock Underwriter until this July. She consistently demonstrates excellent business acumen, solid comprehension of profitability metrics, and is pursuing further education in data analytics to support the RARU book.

Steven has 23 years of work experience in the livestock and equine industries as well as a degree and upbringing in agriculture. He has 6 years of underwriting experience, consistently delivering profitable results. Steven was promoted to Senior Underwriter in 2020 and at AXA XL managed a $10 million GWP book of 75% livestock and 25% equine business. Steven has a strong knowledge of genetics across multiple species of livestock, as well as with Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses in the equine segment. Beyond his industry experience and technical knowledge, his strengths are in relationship development and management.
