Avril Cox is a director and senior underwriter at iSure Ireland, responsible for underwriting commercial insurance policies, broker development and marketing.

She joined iSure in November 2019, having spent over 15 years in the insurance industry working for MGAs and insurance companies.

Prior to getting into insurance Avril was an aspiring archaeologist and outside of work she volunteers on digs around Ireland and further afield. She also loves watersports, especially rowing.

“They say ‘if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life’ and I can honestly say I love what I do. I enjoy underwriting and the technical side of my job but also the social aspect, meeting brokers and developing relationships. There is an incredible sense of team within the company, despite the size and various departments and everyone really pulls together.”
