Flying the Flag at Silverstone - The Home of British Motor Sport

There are race weekends. And then there is Silverstone.

Home to the British Grand Prix, the iconic circuit welcomed a record-breaking crowd of around 564,000 attendees across the weekend, making it the biggest Formula 1 event in history. For Group sponsored Ollie Bearman, one of five British drivers on the grid, it was another opportunity to race in front of home support at one of motorsport’s most famous venues.

From Maggots and Becketts to the corners of Abbey and Luffield, Silverstone remains one of the greatest tests on the Formula 1 calendar. This year, the atmosphere was even bigger, with the return of the Sprint format bringing extra action and points into play.

A Busy Start to the Weekend

With only a single practice session of the weekend, teams had little time to fine-tune their cars before competitive racing began. Ollie completed a productive opening session on Friday as the team gathered valuable data ahead of a packed weekend.

Margins proved tight in the Sprint Qualifying session later on Friday, which left Ollie qualifying in P17 for Saturday’s Sprint. The 100km dash offered some close racing opportunities around Silverstone, seeing Ollie gain places to finish P14.

Racing in Front of Record Crowds

Before the lights went out on Sunday, fans were treated to a memorable drivers’ parade featuring Lego cars circling the circuit, with Ollie adamant he could get the novelty wheels into the points (despite none being on offer).

Starting Sunday's race in P14, when racing got underway in warm, sunny conditions, the Williams of Alex Albon unfortunately crashed into the side of Ollie’s Haas, sending him into a spin. Recovery was hard fought, and it was difficult for Ollie to regain track position. However, with some Silverstone magic and pure determination, Ollie started climbing back up the field and brought the car home in P12.

As the Season Continues

Guests from Rokstone, Consilium, iSure and iFarm enjoyed an unforgettable weekend at the circuit, taking in live music at Racing Green hospitality, testing themselves on the racing simulators and watching the action unfold from grandstand seats with views of the Wellington Straight.

Over the weekend, colleagues from across the business also volunteered for our charity partner, Race Against Dementia, at their stand, collecting bucket donations and promoting a prize draw to passing fans.

As one of the home town heroes, Ollie’s limited edition Silverstone merchandise proved popular with fans as several items sold out over the course of the weekend. Now, with Silverstone complete, the Formula 1 season heads towards its final two races before the summer break. Next up is the legendary Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

After the energy and atmosphere of his home race, Ollie will be hoping to carry that momentum into the next round and continue his push back into the points through the second half of the 2026 season.
